Sample Preparation Sample Clean-up with DEXTech Pure

DEXTech Pure offers the unique clean-up of PCBs and dioxins in one “pure” fraction each. This is the perfect solution for customers interested especially in measuring PCBs and dioxins separately within one GC-MS run each or also for customers interested only in PCB analysis, as it is often relevant in the environmental sector. In this case DEXTech Pure offers a 2-column-method reducing the run time.

DEXTech Pure looks the same as DEXTech Plus, but is modified in terms of fluidics and methods. DEXTech Pure thus enables the fully separation of PCBs and dioxins based on aluminum oxide. Besides this new method, the conventional clean-up method, as it is established on DEXTech Plus already on aluminum oxide column in its fast and economic method, can also be used.

Immunoaffinity Columns For Ochratoxin

The immunoaffinity column Ota CLEAN has been developed for the sample preparation within food analysis via either HPLC with fluorescence detection or LC-MS. The monoclonal antibody was especially designed for this field of application and thus guarantees best results, even with difficult matrices and also with feed samples. The Ota CLEAN columns are available in the practical 3 mL polypropylene format, showing significant handling advantages compared to columns with a smaller inner diameter, e. g. accelerated run-through, reduce matrix-dependent clogging due to greater surfaces.

Features :
  • 3 mL format
  • Shelf life: 18 months at room temperature between 4 and 30 °C
  • Capacity Aflatoxin B1: 150 ng Aflatoxin B1
  • Capacity Ochratoxin A: 200 ng Ochratoxin A
  • Best recoveries: B1 > 90 %, B2 > 80 %, G1 > 90 %, G2 > 60 %, ochratoxin A > 90 %
  • Suitable for automated processing

Immunoaffinity Columns for Aflatoxin

The Aflaclean columns are available in the practical 3 mL polypropylene format. The column bed consists of a soft-gel, which is covered by a storage buffer (contains a preservative). The maximum loading capacity is 150 ng B1 absolute.

Features :
  • 1 mL and 3 mL format
  • Shelf life: 9 months cooled at 4 to 8 °C
  • Loading capacity: 200 ng aflatoxin B1
  • Recoveries: B1 > 90 %, B2 > 80 %, G1 > 90 %, G2 > 60 %
  • Suitable for automated processing

GPC uno/quattro

The GPC uno by LCTech is a simple and universal system for gel permeation chromatography for the clean-up of food and feed samples as well as environmental samples. This system gives fast and inexpensive access to GPC, and its basic version is fully adequate for laboratories processing a smaller number of samples.

Additional modules can be installed expanding the GPC uno by further GPC lines at any time.

Thereby, the system can be adapted to a greater number of samples or different applications. Expand your system according to your needs:

UVE Photochemical Derivatisation

Due to the low aflatoxins limits in food and low inherent fluorescence of aflatoxins B1 and G1, aflatoxin analysis needs to be optimised through derivatisation.

This is done photochemically with the UVE under UV light radiation at 254 nm. Aflatoxins B1 and G1 are thereby hydroxilated and can then be measured through fluorescence spectrometry. The sensitivity of the measurement increases considerably.

Key advantage of using UVE over electrochemical bromination: the water, present in the eluent, is used as the reagent, hence neither iodine nor HNO3 / KBr are required. In addition, the detector will not be contaminated and no variation in derivatisation will occur. This method is accepted by the AOAC, has been used successfully in collaborative trials and is in use worldwide in accredited laboratories.

Automated Sample Preparation For Dioxin

LCTech presents its Dioxin system DEXTech™.After the sample injection the DEXTech™ handles the separation and fractionation of dioxins and PCBs from the matrix in a multi-stage process automatically. In order to make the sample preparation for the Dioxin analysis easier and to reduce the processing time significantly, the LCTech GmbH, specialist for automated sample preparation, developed the automated Dioxin system DEXTech™ in cooperation with the CVUA Münster / Germany. Due to the high level of automation the system reduces the processing time to 96 minutes only. Depending on the matrix up to 5 g fat can be applied onto the columns. The small footprint of the stand-alone device enables the parallel use of several systems side by side. This also leads to an immense increase of the throughput and additionally provides the opportunity to handle each method independently at any time

ELISA Rapid Test ErgoREAD

OtaREADTM by LCTech quantitatively detects ochratoxin A - a mycotoxin, harmful even in low concentrations in food and beverages and therefore strictly regulated by law.

The kit with a 96-well ELISA plate is delievered ready-to-use and thus easy to handle. The detection range for solid matrices is 2 - 20 ppb, for beer 0.6 - 6 ppb and for wine 0.8 - 8 ppb.

Even for diffi cult matrices like coffee and red wine no prior clean-up of the sample extract (like SPE or immunoaffi nity columns) is needed.

  • Only two extraction methods for all kinds of solid samples
  • Extract can also be used for the screening for afl atoxins using LCTech Afl aREADTM (see back side)
  • Best reproducibility and repeatability due to standardized quality
  • Compatible with eluates from LCTech immunoaffi nity columns
  • No washer, shaker or incubator needed
